October Drill of the Month: 5-spot shooting

Drill = “5 Spot Shooting”

Way to Score = Off the Catch Stationary
# of Players = Team (7+)
Guidelines:
1.  3 Lines.  1) Passer 2) Shooter 3) Rebounder
2.  Pass and go to the next line:
3.  Make three shots per spot and rotate to the next spot.  5 spots – 1) Baseline 2) Wing 3) Top 4) Opposite Wing 5) Opposite Baseline
4.  Once you complete 15 makes, continue at the 5th spot a second time, now the 6th spot, and head back around “the horn” to attempt to clear all 5-spots two times.
Goal:
1.  Work on your off the catch stationary shots (catch and shoot).
2.  A shot should be taken every 2-3 seconds for a total attempts = 40 – 60 shots in two minutes.
3.  Team makes goal: High School = 30,  7th-8th Grade = 21, 5th = 6th Grade = 15
